BACKGROUND &
EXPERIENCE
Dr. Punit Ramrakha is a consultant cardiologist with over 20 years of experience, graduating from Cambridge and Oxford Universities with 1st class honours. After an award winning PhD in Vascular Biology at Imperial College, he was appointed as a Consultant at Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Imperial College (Hammersmith Hospital) in 2002.
He is experienced in complex coronary artery angioplasty (PCI) and structural heart intervention including PFO / ASD closure, and pacemaker insertion. He was the clinical lead for heart failure services in Buckinghamshire for over 15 years. He has authored a number of medical textbooks such as the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine, Oxford Handbook of Acute Medicine and Oxford Handbook of Cardiology.
